You might wonder why there'd be a walkthrough for a sitemap - I would have too. But once we added it, it turned out to be one of the best ways to see all the different content we have. It's useful for members, to find things they didn't know existed, and for non-members who just want to know more about what's on the site.
The link is at the very top of the site, above the main navigation. The page has some controls at the top and, below that, collapsible sections: content like pages, articles, events, and lessons; media from the media library; and a section for the community forum, which works a bit differently.
If you're looking for something specific, search is usually the better tool, but you can type into the sitemap's filter to match by title and see what comes up. There's a toggle that switches between fading the items that don't match and hiding them completely. There's a control for archived content - covered in another tutorial - where "include archived" shows everything, "exclude archived" removes it, and "only archived" shows just that.
The access-restrictions control is about who can see what. You can choose "anyone" to see what's available to guests, there's content restricted to people who've confirmed their email address, and then the different membership types. Alongside that is a "show all visible" option. With it on (the default) selecting Awakened shows everything an Awakened member can see, which includes everything available to lower tiers. Turn it off and it shows only what's specifically assigned to Awakened, not everything they can see by inheritance. It's a way, especially if you're not a member or you're weighing a particular membership, to get an idea of what we have.
The community forum section is laid out differently - it doesn't list every topic. Accessibility to topics in the forum works through group assignments based on membership types, and three "permissions" - the ability to view topics in a categories, reply to them, and create new topics in them. So the table might show that Awakened members can see topics in the Events category but not reply or create, while Healer members can reply. You can see how many topics are under each category, and a toggle switches between that table view and a "view by category" layout that groups everything by category instead, if that reads better for you.
So it covers everything on the site and who it's available to - helpful for members and for anyone just interested in the fellowship who wants to see what's there before deciding. And we can answer questions about any of it if you send a support ticket.

Welcome everybody. In this walkthrough, we are going to go over the House of Marcus Fellowship site map. And why the heck would you do a walkthrough about a site map, right? Well, I would've thought that myself at one point, but once we added this site map to our website, it became clear that it was one of the best ways to see all of the different content that we have. And it's useful for both members to see what they might not know that we have, as well as for non-members that are just interested in knowing more about what we have on our website. So we're going to go through what's on the site map, as well as how to use it to get the most out of what you're looking for.

The link to our site map is in the very top of our website, above the main navigation here. So if you click that link, it will bring you to the page, and you can see on our site map here, we've got some controls at the top, and below that, we've got these collapsible sections. So we have content in our site map, like pages, articles, events, lessons. We also have our media from the media library. So here you can see a list of everything that's in there as well.

And we also have this section for the community forum, which is a little bit different, and so I will go over that separately. One way that you can use our site map is if you are trying to search for something specific. Obviously, I would suggest using the search, but here you can type in something that will filter based on the title. So we could type in something like legal name, and we could come down and see if there's any content that has legal name in it. So there we go.

In addition to this regular search filter, this thing, which can toggle between fading items and hiding items. So what that means is right now, see it will fade items that don't match the filters. So we can change that to hide them. So here it'll scrunch it up, you can get a little bit better view. So depending on how you want to use it, that might be useful. This right here is for archived content.

So we went through that in a different tutorial, but here you can see. So here, let's actually use the hide items functionality if we switch between it. Include archived includes everything. If we switch to exclude archived, then that will remove those things, and then only archive will show only the archived content. So you can see here, what do we have that's archived? This input for access restrictions is based on who can see what, right?

So you can choose anyone to see what type of content is available to anyone, which would be guests. There is some content that we restrict to users that have confirmed their email address. It helps us make sure they're a real account. And then there's the different membership types. So you can also see this to go through what's available to different members. This one that says show all visible goes along with this one here. So if I uncheck this, show all visible, what this means is that now it's not showing everything visible to Awakened members. It's not showing everything that Awakened members can see.

It's showing things specifically assigned to Awakened members. So for example, a Sojourner member can see everything that Awakened member can see. But as I go up the list here, you can see it's not showing everything. So if I switch this on, which is the default, you can see now it's only going to add stuff. So the normal is on. And that's how you can use the controls to limit or figure out, especially if you're not a member or you're trying to look at a specific type of membership, you can use this to help you get an idea of what we have on our site.

And as always, we can answer any questions about that, too, if you want to drop us a support ticket. The community forum section of our site map works a little differently. So we don't list out all of the topics here. I'll collapse all these so we can focus on the one. So in the left here, we have the categories. So these are different categories in our community forum, and then we have the different membership types. So the way the community forum works is based on groups that you're in. You can see some categories, you can reply in some categories, and you can create new topics in some categories.

So here, what this is saying is that Awakened members can see topics that are under the events category. They can't reply or create. Healer members can reply on those. And so you can look over this to get an idea of, depending on what type of member you are or membership you're interested in, what they will have access to in the community forum. So you can see the number of different topics we have under each of these categories. So rocking somewhere around or over 1,000 at this point.

You can also use this toggle right here to switch between a table view like this and view by category. So here you can see if you choose view by category, it will group everything that way. So you can see our events category Awakened members can see, Sojourner members, Healer, and Masters can reply. So you can look down through the list like this if you think this is a preferable way or you get more information out of it that way.

So that basically covers everything about our site map. It can be useful for, like I said, members or people that have access to everything to be able to see what they might not otherwise see when just browsing through the website or using a search, and especially for people that just might be interested in the fellowship. Here is a way that you can see all of the different content that we have available and who it's available to so that it can help you make your decision.
