Events
Our events make up probably the most prolific content on the site. We have hundreds of hours of event recordings that get attached to their event page and also end up in the media library.
Events happen in Zoom, and there are two types. Master members have biweekly events, usually focused on a specific educational topic, though it's an open Q&A format and can be whatever members want. Monthly meetings are more general updates, open to all members, and double as an orientation for interested new members. The first two events on the page are usually the most recent of each. If a biweekly and a monthly fall on the same day, we combine them and open it to everyone.
Premium member events are released to other membership types over time: after one month for Healer members, three months for Sojourner, and six months for Awakened - so everyone eventually gets access to all the recordings. When events become accessible to the other membership types an automated comment goes into the community forum letting the members with access know they can watch the recording.
The event listing works like the blog including a search form where you can filter using several inputs. Searching by keyword also searches the transcripts of videos attached to events, so you can effectively search the content of a recording where we have a transcript.
Our events use Zoom, and on the individual pages you'll see the schedule and buttons to register as well as some details and potential schedule. They may include resources like documents or other things to download in relation to the topic. Past event pages show the recording plus related content.
Last is the educational webinars, which are the only events with actual open registration. Scroll to the bottom of one to get the recording - enter payment info if needed and submit, which registers you. It's recorded, so you're not really attending, but if we hold in-person events in the future we'll use the same system. You'll get a link, and in your account you'll find all the resources for the event like document downloads or applicable media in our library. You can watch the event videos there, tracked like everywhere else, and use the list like a playlist to switch between them.
Events are probably the most popular thing we have in terms of volume of content and engagement - it's what keeps people up to date on what we've got going on, and a great way for people to meet other members.

Welcome everybody. In this tutorial/walkthrough, we are going to go over events for the House of Marcus Fellowship. So if you go up in our main navigation here to the Events, you'll be brought to the Events page. We have hundreds of hours of recordings of events. It's probably the most prolific content on our website. The recordings go up and are attached to the event. They end up in our media library as well.
00:35
Our events, at least as of right now, do happen in the Zoom meeting format, and we have two types of events. Master members have bi-weekly events. These types of events are usually very focused on a specific topic, educational. They can be whatever members want, though. It's an open format with questions and answers. And then we have monthly meetings, which are more of general updates, and those are open to all members. It's also like an orientation for new members that are interested. So if you come to the Events page, usually the first two events that you see here will be those. So here was our last bi-weekly one for master members, and here is one that we have for all members.
01:20
If they do happen to fall on the same day, they are open to everyone. So if a bi-weekly one and a monthly one, if they're on the same day, we open it up so it becomes one for all members. And our bi-weekly events for our master members do get released to the other membership types after set periods of time. So for Healer members, they become available after one month, for Sojourner members, it's after three months, and for Awakened members, it's after six months.
01:47
So all members are eventually able to access all of the recordings. Here on our event listing page, it's just like our blog. A lot of websites have this similar format where you can come through, look at the past events. You can use this to go through pages, go back to previous events as well. And at the top, we do also have the search filter.
02:15
So you can open this up and choose to search for certain things like the access level that's required for the event, whether or not it has open registration, whether there's a video attached to it, the timeframe, and you can also enter a search term to try to find something specific. This search term will also search through transcripts of the videos attached to the events, so that can come in really handy if you're looking for something specific.
02:42
You basically can search the content of the video for anything that we do have a transcript up for. For our event pages for upcoming events, most of the time they're in Zoom. So if you'd come to the page, you can see the schedule over here. There will usually be buttons to click to register. That'll bring you to the page to Zoom.
03:07
You do see a lot of things that we have in other spots of the site, so related content. You can have the comments here. Let's go back and we can look at one of the past events. So if you go to this one about our biometric notice. So our events, when we do get the recordings finished, we'll post them up here, and you can see we'll also link related content like we do in other areas of the site. So here we've got the course, we've got documents related to this.
03:35
And we also have resources. So like we do on lessons, there are sometimes documents or other things attached that you can download or maybe it will bring you to the media library. And as you can see here, here's a comment. So like I said earlier, we do open up access to these events to other membership types. So when we open up the access, we will make a comment in our community forum. So here you can see this is an automated comment to let the Healer members know that they can now access this event and its recording, and they can check it out that way. Like I've shown in some other areas of the site, these are the functionality to help you track your progress.
04:16
So if you click this and start watching this video, it should help you track that. So now you can see that we've got In Progress here and here, and you can add notes. So this is notes on the video, and this would be notes on the content. So this is the anatomy of our individual event pages.
04:46
And the last thing that we're going to go over for the events is our educational webinars that we've done. So they're the only ones that have actual open registration. So you can use that to get to them. And you come here, I'm just going to show you how you can get access to them. So if you scroll all the way down to the bottom, then you get down here and you can just get the recording. So you would come down here, enter your payment info if you have to, and submit.
05:18
And once you do that, it's going to register you for the event. Obviously, this is recorded, so you're not really registering in the sense that you're going to be going to it. But if we do have any in-person events in the future, we'll use this system, so it'll be done the same way. But for this one, since it's a recording, you'll just have a link here, and you can go to your account, and here in your account, now you can see. So here's all your resources for the event.
05:43
Some are direct downloads, some are to the media library. For if it is an in-person event, you can actually download a registration document. It's like your ticket. And you can watch the videos of the event here. So you can start it, and it'll track your progress just like it does in the other areas of the site. And you can use this kind of like a playlist, so you can switch between the videos this way.
06:10
And if you're just trying to come here in your user account, Events, this is the page you're on. So this is the last part of our events. This is signing up for the educational webinars to get the recording. And that's it for the events on our website. The events are probably the most popular thing that we have as far as the amount of content, the amount of engagement, and it's really what keeps people up to date on what we've got going on, and it's a great way for people to meet their other members. So events are a big thing for us.
06:49
I'm glad you stuck around through this one. Thanks a lot, and enjoy your time on the website.
