Self-Help
Understand the issue. Build the record. Use the right process.
HoMF self-help resources are built for people who need to deal with a real problem and want to understand what to do before they act.
Here you will find plain-English guidebooks, editable notices, dispute documents, organizational templates, instructions, and other practical tools designed to help you understand the issue, identify the applicable process, communicate clearly, and keep an organized record.
A document is not a remedy by itself. Its value depends on the facts, the law or procedure that applies, the correct recipient, and how it is used.
Our approach is simple: understand the rules, document the facts, ask the right questions, and use the procedure that actually applies.
A Document Is a Tool, Not a Shortcut
These materials do not create immunity, erase legal obligations, or guarantee an outcome. They are designed to support better understanding, better records, better preparation, and more informed self-advocacy.
Educational materials only. They are not legal, tax, financial, or other professional advice. Laws and procedures vary by jurisdiction and may change over time.
If you're looking for a document that's not listed here, and it is generic enough to be templated, we will do that for our members! If your request is super-specific there's still a chance we can do something but it might happen one-on-one.
