What does Without Prejudice, All Rights Reserved & other reservation signatures mean?
The words All Rights Reserved before or after a signature is a notice that any rights not expressly outlined in the contract or agreement are reserved in the signer's favor. It signifies the signer is performing under such a reservation. Similarly, using the words Without Prejudice does not prejudice any rights not expressly outlined in the agreement or contract. Any words of similar import can be used. This law is codified in the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) per Article 1 at UCC 1-308 and is ONLY for commercial contracts. It is ineffective when filling out non-commercial contract government forms. There is a lot of theorists out on the internet and social media that believe using such reservations is applicable in all situations. It is not and we strongly suggest knowing all the legalities of what is being signed.
