Does using the bible protect me from the legal system?

Using the bible as a means to evade a public or private obligation is not a protection from the legal system and is also not in alignment with the HoMF principles. It is well established law that sincerely held religious beliefs are in fact protected from government intrusion. Courts are prohibited from determining the truth or falsity of religious beliefs, meaning that a jury cannot be instructed to evaluate the validity of such beliefs but they are not barred from applying the law just because a religious belief or question is raised. The use of sincerely held religious beliefs as a defense in any legal matter is narrow not broad.
