Are property taxes legal?

Property taxes have become legal over time. Our members do not see the issue as whether property taxes are legal or not, but that the people have allowed private property to become taxable through legislation that was never objected to and passed into law. The legal theory that property taxes are illegal, as with all legal theories, must be proved in law (court) to become a legal fact. To date, no such ruling exists in any courts but there are many people fighting to prove it. Florida is one state that is aggressively pursuing the removal of homestead property taxes.
